Dr. Nina Brewer-Davis
I work in the field of relationships: personal, social, and political. I am especially interested in understanding and supporting healthy relationships and connection with ourselves and others, whether that is through writing, teaching, public speaking, or consulting.

I have been studying, writing and teaching philosophy since 1994. In 2012, I started a parallel journey in sex education. I am interested in the field of sex education as a space for healthy intimacy, whether that be physical, emotional, relational, or spiritual, and includes both healthy relationships with ourselves and others. I work with children and adults to provide education on bodies, reproduction, staying healthy, relationships, and more.
I have started and run two community-based sex education programs, in a small college town and in a big city. I continue to run Oak Park Our Whole Lives.

Here is a video of a sermon I gave at Unity Temple, a Unitarian Universalist congregation. If anything “religious” gives you the heebie jeebies, be reassured that this sermon does not mention God. Also, I am happy to discuss theology!
